The Governing Board of KREDA consists of the following members only:
- Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC Kargil (as Chairman)
- Deputy Commissioner/Chief Executive Officer (as Vice-Chairman)
- District Superintending Engineer PWD (as Member)
- Superintending Engineer PDD (as Member)
- Ex. Engineer (Electric) PDC (as Member)
- Project Director/Chief Executive Officer (KREDA)
- Project Coordinator as Ex-officio Secretary of the Board
And any other member nominated by the Chairman. But the Governing Board cannot have more than 10 members.
- The tenure of the Governing Body shall be for three years from the date of its first
meeting. Any casual vacancy shall be filled in by the LAHDC, Kargil.

The Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development
Council, Kargil, shall be the Ex Officio/Chairman of the Governing Board.

The Deputy Commissioner/CEO shall be the Vice-Chairman of the Governing Body
